The mission of ACDN is to create a platform that presents opportunities for cross learning and sharing of these unique experiences both successes and failures within the country. Livelihoods Afghanistan aims at building sectoral consensus on critical issues and challenges faced by the poor, share best practices and inform and influence policy. Within Livelihoods Afghanistan Platform, specific sub initiatives have been designed to make this platform an effective bridge for cross learning.

24.4 million People will be in humanitarian need in 2022, proper access to water & sanitation, health care, education, income generation opportunities & gender equality are out of reach for hundreds of millions of Afghans, now has the highest number of people in emergency food insecurity globally. In February 2022, prices for several key commodities in Afghanistan were around 40% higher than in June 2021.
