CREATING A BETTER TOMORROW

Achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5 (Gender equality and empowering women) is a top priority and work agenda, since development cannot be achieved or sustained without the full and genuine involvement of women. 

ACDN implementing a national capacity building program, Empowering youths is aimed at handholding, training and enabling community council to maximize their impact on the ground, our team are trained on vital issues relevant to the development sector in the country like sustainability, communication, resource mobilization and governance by experts from reputed Afghanistan and international organizations. Handholding meetings and face to face learning sessions are held round the year to help the Community Council effectively resolve their day to day operational challenges, helping achieve the highest social return on investment.

Empowering Grassroots is not only an effort to strengthen the bottom of the socio-economic pyramid in Afghanistan, but also an attempt to bring transparency and accountability in the workings of the development sector at the grassroots level. So far, ACDN has built the capacities of more than 400 participant most of them were young boys and girls.

Through an effective learning process to raise their capacities and enrich their entrepreneurship knowledge, the training aims to inspire and empower Afghan women in rural areas who wish to create their sustainable foundation for their everyday life.

The Training courses covered the following key topics:

·        Psychology of Political activism: Women changing the world.

·        Professional Development training for Educators from les of pluralism.

·        Community Engagement Solidarity and Citizenship.
